It makes for a great family day out, and has 104 acres to explore and lots of animals and woodlands to enjoy.

Roker Beach is only 15 minutes’ drive away, filled with sandy beaches and wonderful coastline views. Barnes Park and Herrington Country Park are close to hand and a little further south you can test your skiing and snowboarding skills at the Silksworth Sports Complex and Ski Slope that has two beginner slopes and a 160m main slope. You can also head into Sunderland city centre to enjoy a wide range of attractions that are suitable for all ages.
